Finally Rajinikanth fans in Karnataka have a reason to rejoice. They will not have a long wait before they watch superstar’s latest in a theatre near their home.
Superstar starrer Kuselan has got a go ahead from the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce(KFCC) for the release with 10 prints in 13 theatres in Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka. Actress Jayamala, who is also the KFCC chief has said that the Kannada film industry respects K. Balachander a lot and hence they would not like to link what happened during the Cauvery issue to the release of Kuselan in Karnataka.
Also veteran actor late Rajkumar will feature as many as three times in the song Cinema, Cinema in Kuselan.
In continuation to the ongoing “BIG Kuselan Kondattam” celebration, BIG 92.7 FM in association with BIG Music launched the Mobile photo exhibition of Superstar Rajinikanth. The photo exhibition was flagged off by famous Kollywood actress Nayantara.

Manjari Fadnis came back into action
She made her debut as a school girl in ‘Rok Sako To Rok Lo’ some four years back. However, the lovely girl Manjari Fadnis came into limelight with blockbuster ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’. The gal now is not sitting back and after reveling in the success of the film for sometime she is back into action. The girl will next be seen in a music video for which she shot some time back. Her next film release would be a comedy ‘I Am 24’ with Rajat Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Neha Dhupia and Vijay Raaz.
“This is a beautiful ’sufi’ number which is sung by Krishna (of ‘Maula Mere’ - Chak De India and ‘Main Jahaan Rahoon’ - Namastey London) fame. He has cut an album and a music video has been made for one of the songs. It is a good platform for me as I am seen in Indian costumes. Also, since the video revolves around the character I enact, it does give me good visibility”, informs Manjari.
“It seems like such a long time back. However, from here on I believe the journey should get into a fast track mode“, beams Manjari.

Bollywood hottie Shilpa Shetty I am not next Bond girl
Bollywood hottie Shilpa Shetty has set rumours to rest by saying she is not doing the next James Bond film and has turned down a lot of foreign offers as she wants to focus more on Hindi films. “I am not going to be a Bond girl but yes there is another Hollywood film that I am doing,” clarifies Shilpa refusing to comment further as she says it is in the scripting stage. Shilpa, who became one of reality television’s most talked about stars last year, says, “I have left a lot of international projects to come back to Hindi films. Someone told me I was already out of sight and I did not want to be out of mind too. My concentration is totally on Bollywood.” Shilpa, however, denies that she does not want to work in any Hollywood movie. “If I like the script and the prospects are lucrative enough in the West, I’ll definitely go there.” Shilpa, who will also be seen performing on the stage with the Bachchan’s at their ongoing Unforgettable tour in London from August 23-24, says, “I have left some big movies to come back and act in films and travel with my musical Miss Bollywood.”
Talking about her forthcoming Bollywood film, The Man , in which she is playing the lead role opposite Sunny Deol , she says, “I am playing the violin for the first time on-screen. Violin is the toughest instrument to play and it has left me with bad neck and I have been doing Bhujaang asan to make it better.” Apart from working in films, Shilpa is quite busy these days with her company S2 Global Productions. She has roped in Manish Jha of ‘Matrubhoomi’ fame to direct her first home production.

Actress Sridevi turns on Yash Chopra
We know that Yash Chopra has made many other directors part of his production house Yash Raj Films but he himself has not yet called it a day. While people are speculating about who will star in Yash Chopra’s next directorial venture after Veer Zaara, here is a story that tells you what Yash Chopra planned recently but failed to make it materialise. Yash Chopra, who has made successful mature love stories like Kabhi Kabhie, Chandni, and Lamhe recently approached Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi to play the lead actors in his next film. While Bachchan agreed immediately, Sridevi took some time to make up her mind. Our source says, “After a few days, Yash and Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor had a chat about this film. Boney told Yash that he too was keen to re-launch his wife Sridevi in his own production and it would be better if Yash cast some other actress instead.” That’s when politician and Bachchan’s good friend Amar Singh got into the act. Apparently, Bachchan was quite kicked about doing a Yash Chopra film with Sridevi. Our source adds, “Amar Singh tried to convince Boney to let Sridevi act in Yash’s film. Boney still did not relent. He told Amar Singh that they are friends but he should let this one pass.”
So why didn’t Yash cast someone else instead of Sridevi? Our source reveals, “Anybody else apart from Sridevi would have not suited the role. Besides, Yash is a great filmmaker. If he thinks of a subject, he has the actor and actress in mind from day one. He did not make any compromises and put the project on the backburner when things did not work out with Sridevi.” When contacted, Boney confirmed that Yash had planned a film with Bachchan and Sridevi. He said, “However, I did not tell Yashji that I will be making Sridevi’s comeback film.” We then asked about Amar Singh trying to convince him to let the project happen. After a slight pause Boney replied, “No, Amar Singh did not speak to me about this.” When we probed further, saying that Bachchan and Amar Singh were quite enthusiastic that Yash’s project should go on the floors with Amitabh and Sridevi in the lead, Boney said, “Amar Singh and Amitji must have been keen. But it didn’t happen due to some other reason, which I am not aware of.”
Amitabh and Sridevi had earlier starred together in Inquilab, Aakhri Raasta, and Khuda Gawah and all the three films did reasonably well. Sridevi’s last film Judaai (1997) left the audience wanting for more but her comeback of sorts on the small screen as a goofy Tamilian wife in Mrs Malini Iyer strangely did not enjoy very high viewership. However, Boney does not rule out re-launching Sridevi on the big screen. He told Mumbai Mirror, “Sridevi’s comeback film has to have an extraordinary subject. It can’t be a run of the mill story. However, right now, my hands are full with other projects.”

Actress Priyanka Chopra bikini for “Dostana”
Although Priyanka Chopra had decided not to do a lip lock or don a bikini on screen, she has agreed to get into a swimsuit for Karan Johar’s romantic comedy “Dostana”.
“Karan Johar didn’t ask me to wear a bikini. But this is a beach movie. So it’s only natural that I get into beachwear. And I don’t mind at all. Because everyone else will be wearing even tinier clothes,” Priyanka told IANS.
The Bollywood beauty says she had a ball with co-stars Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.
“I’ve worked with Abhishek and John before. But never like this. Their bonding is infectious. ‘Dostana’ was one big party. It’s a beachside sporty film. And I’m very much a water babe.
“The director Tarun Mansukhani’s is new but his wit sparkles. He’s written a really urbane tongue-in-cheek comedy.”
Priyanka can’t stop raving about the new love in her life. “No, his name isn’t Harman Baweja. It’s someone called Boo, a pet robot teddy bear who accompanies me everywhere in ‘Love Story 2050′. He’s all pink and the cutest creature on earth. I want to take him home.”
She added: “I was aware of Boo from the time he was conceived. It was Harman’s sister Rowena who thought of Boo. I’ve watched Boo acquire a life right in front of me. So it’s quite an exciting process.”
So attached has Priyanka become to Boo that she wanted to carry him home after the shooting. And the Bawejas (Harry and Harman) who’ve watched Priyanka stand by their project from the time Kareena Kapoor opted out were only too happy to let her have Boo.
“This was one film that’s filled with gadgets and electronic toys. But Boo is special because he is mine.”
Talking about her stint with sci-fi films, she said: “‘Love Story 2050′ is my second hi-tech film after ‘Krrish’. And I’m doing one more, ‘Drona’. But ‘Love Story’ was special because I did my career’s first double role with two different looks for the two halves set in two different periods. Boo was part of my futuristic look.”
“When FX turned a corner with ‘Krrish’, I was part of it. Now when it somersaults with ‘Love Story 2050′ and ‘Drona’ I’m part of both. Am I proud to be in these projects, or not?”

"Junior Superstar" Dhanush Said that he did not deserve this title

Asin announced her second Hindi project after the movie Ghajini officially. She will play heroine in Salman Khan starring big budget movie London Dreams. The movie will be directed by Vipul Shah, the director of films like Aankhein and Namaste London.

Ajith Kumar Aegan will hit the screens for the month of September
We are sure; Thala fans should be really yearning out to watch their star's film this year.
