Saif Ali Khan feels life has never been so good, now that he has Kareena on his side. He suffered a mild heart attack in 2007 and now he is a completely changed man.
“My lifestyle has changed completely after the heart attack. Looking back it’s hard to believe I went through such a health scare. If it wasn’t for that life-changing experience, I wouldn’t be in a relationship with Kareena right now. I hardly drink. Don’t even look forward to drinking any more. I don’t smoke or party.”
So although they are officially yet to say Qubool Hai, Kareena is already an integral part of Saif’s family and Saif is an integral part of the Kapoor khandaan too.
“Yes, Kareena has been invited to Pataudi. It’d have been earlier, but it was too hot. Winter is when our family reunions happen every year. And Kareena is now part of the family. My parents are extremely fond of Kareena,” Saif.
“This relationship is ‘IT’ for me. Today I feel very settled and very happy. Though a bit lonely. And when I’ve bad days, I feel I’m being ungrateful. I’m now looking forward to settling down with Kareena. Our marriage will happen very shortly as soon as we both have a little less work on hand and we can give the marriage quality time. Also, her family has to be ready for our marriage,” he said.
Both of them are bonding well with each other’s family. Kareena has gone at lengths to make Saif feel that he is an integral part of her family too.
“We’re very close. She has been really gracious in inviting me into her family. She’s made sure I’m part of her family. I’ve also met Daboo uncle (Randhir) a few times, shared friendly drinks with him. As for Karisma, I think she’s the sweetest girl ever in the world. I’m deeply fond of both Karisma and her husband Sanjay (Kapoor). They’re truly wonderful people. Kareena’s family has taken to me as warmly as my family has taken to her,” Saif said.

Saif Ali Khan Birthday & Raksha Bandhan coincide this year
Actor Saif Ali Khan’s 38th birthday, this Saturday coincided with the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Unfortunately, Saif did not have many of his friends and relatives to celebrate his birthday this time.
“My mom and dad are not flying over from Delhi. My birthday is not such a big deal for me. I’d just be happy to spend it with Kareena (Kapoor) and my kids,” Saif told.
Saif fondly speaks of his sisters, Soha and Saba as he waited for them to tie a Rakhi on his wrist. “Rakha Bandhan is always special for me as my two sisters celebrate it in a big way every year, and this year it is even more special because it also coincides with my birthday. On earlier occasions of Raksha Bandhan, I have always presented them with gifts, but this time I am expecting a gift from them,” Saif said.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the two are contemplating marriage soon
Wedding bells may not be that far away for actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the two are contemplating marriage sooner than the three-four-year target they had set earlier.”Oh yes, much sooner. In fact, people may be hearing an announcement from us very soon. If I had my way, I’d marry her today right here in London where she’s joined me,” Saif said.”Yes, I’m ready to make it legal any time.
In any case, aren’t we supposed to have gone through a secret Muslim marriage?” he says sarcastically about certain media reports.
Saif was married to Amrita Singh and after 13 years of marriage and two children, the couple separated in 2004. After he divorced Amrita, he dated Italian model Rosa Catalano, but broke up with her in 2007.
The romance between Saif and Kareena took off on the sets of “Tashan”. And Saif has never sounded so fiercely committed.
“If I’m sounding that way, it’s because that’s how I feel. With due respects to all the other relationships in life, after my marriage to Amrita and my two kids, this is the most important relationship I’ve had.”
Saif can barely contain his anxiety and eagerness to do the right thing.
“Of course, I’m anxious. You must understand this is the most important part of my life… so much so that at times I find even my career taking a backseat to my relationship. I’ve to guard against that. I must quickly learn to separate the professional from the personal.”
Saif admits it would take his children Sarah and Ibrahim a while to get used to the changes in their dad’s life.
“I’m not going to pretend that my children, Kareena and I have become one big family. They’re intelligent kids with a mind of their own. Sarah is in fact 13 and a lady herself. It would be quite a while before they are fully comfortable with the change in my life.
“They haven’t spent that much time with Kareena to know her as well as I do. But the good thing is everyone close to me realises that this relationship is for keeps, that I’ve never been more serious. Now it’s entirely up to me and Kareena to take the relationship to the next level.”
Saif is upset with reports that he has lately been crowding his ladylove with his attentions.
“Of course, I want to be with her as much as I can. My regret is we can’t be together more often. We are uncannily similar people and I’ve only now begun to understand why I need to be with her constantly. She complements me, as I hope I complement her. So of course, I try to be where she is.”
He dislikes people intruding into his personal life and says: “I understand people want to put our relationship under a microscope. They want to know about our relationship. But there’s only so much that they can know or perceive. What Kareena and I feel for each other, only the two of us know.”

Shah Rukh Khan his naughtiest best doing his famous 'Quick- Gun -Murugan'
Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned to boost the viewer ship of his game show Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? Bollywood Not in the mood to listen to SRK - Kareena Kapoor
We have not yet received the TRPs of Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? episode of June 14, that features Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as contestants.
We are not sure if the presence of Bollywood’s hottest couple helped propel the ratings of the show, but one thing is for sure, the audience watching the show on the sets at Film City, did not have a great time at all.
Much to the dismay of the studio audience, host Shah Rukh Khan ordered all the four LCD screens fitted around the sets to be switched off for this particular episode. Why? Because of Kareena Kapoor.
Says an eyewitness, “Ever since the shoot began, Kareena constantly kept looking at the LCD screen to see how she was looking. Shah Rukh observed this and told her that she was looking great, and need not look at the LCD screen every now and then.”
It seems that Kareena was in no mood to listen to SRK. She could not refrain from looking at herself on the screen. “Consciously or unconsciously, she continued checking herself out on all the four screens.
Time was running out and so SRK ordered that the screens be switched off. Only then did they start the shoot,” adds the eyewitness.
And what did Kareena do after that? The insider says, “Well, Kareena had no choice. She had to go ahead with the proceedings. Thankfully, everything went off smoothly after that.”
