If you can think and remember a blockbuster movie of Maniratnam’s in 1990’s “Anjali” as a two year mentally challenged child the little shamili had done a character which was well appreciated by the entire cine industry. Now the child artist turns a heroine after many directors proposed the actress to sign for their flick but the debutant director in Telugu Anand Ranga however managed Shamili to act as a heroine of Siddharth.
Ananda Ranga is the one who worked as the associate for the movie “Bommarillu” also taken in Tamil as “Santhosh Subramanian” as Jeyam Ravi in lead. The movie shooting is to commence from October and the film is produced by DVV Danayya in the banner Universal Media. Hope Shamili misses her debut in Kollywood???

She can be compared with earlier fresh looking entry of Juhi, Kajol and Preity Zinta as Genelia D’Souza is new actress from the South is in female lead in an Amir Khan production opposite to his nephew Imran Khan. She had also an impressive role in ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’.
She has many hit movies to his credit in South in Tamil and Telgu and she at very apt time switched her gear towards Bollywood. As the Imran- Ganelia starrer movie is about to released she said about the movie “It’s a fun film and we’ve all had a smashing time working on it. She is currently involved in shooting of Aneeze Bazme directed “Its My Life’ opposite the latest entry into Bollywood , Harman Baweja. The other important movie in her nitty is ‘Life Partner’ co-starring Govinda and Fardeen.

National Award win Priyamani balancing acting
Normally, when a heroine wins a National Award, commercial directors and top heroes prefer to stay away from casting them. But Priyamani, seems to be an exceptional case as she has become the most sought after actress in Kollywood.
Top director Shankar who is on a world tour location hunting for Robot, sent her a telegram congratulating her and also expressing a desire to meet up. This led to rumours in tinsel town that she may be a part of Shankar's next film with Rajinikanth.
Now she is doing a serious role as an actress of yester year in Malayalam director Ranjith's Thirakatha with Pritviraj in the lead. Priya is happy that life has taken a turn for the better and she wants to balance off-beat and commercial masala movies.
Last week Priya has signed a new Tamil film with upcoming action hero Bharath titled Aarumugham. The film is directed by Rajinikanth's one-time favourite director Suresh Krishna, and is expected to be another action entertainer.
