Vidya Balan was overawed and intimidated when she found herself paired next to the well known actor Naseeruddin Shah Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Ishqiya’.
Though Vidya herself is a very fine actress, she could not find herself sitting around normally and sharing a normal conversation with him when the shot was not on. Then Naseer finally took an initiative and deliberately struck up a casual conversation with her, which broke the ice. In fact, she was so influenced by Naseer that she has worked very hard for her role and says that she has not worked so hard on a role in the longest time.
Ishqiya is being produced by Bharadwaj. The film also stars Arshad Warsi besides Balan and Naseer. Her other films include like R Balki’s ‘Pa’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Chenab Gandhi’.

Vidya Balan looking Sensuous From FHM
She has been under constant attack from the critics for her wardrobe and her dressing sense for long, so she has decided to dress down this time. The international men’s magazine FHM had Vidya Balan looking absolutely sensuous, coy, sexy and inviting under satin sheets for their cover photo-shoot in their latest issue.
“I think what we shot for the cover was really very interesting especially where we used sheets and all and it’s just that there is a great sensuality to it. I always think that minimal make-up and no fuss hair takes away from everything and it’s all about the eyes,” said Vidya.
Photographer Joy Datta says, “She has been in the industry for a while now. She is very confident about her own self. Lot has been said about her dressing and all that but she is very aware about herself now and it’s a new Vidya. And it’s great to be a part of that new state she is in.”

Vidya Balan celebrates a quiet birthday
Vidya Balan has a simple girl-next-door image on-screen. But the talented actress chose to stay simple off-screen too. She celebrated her birthday (which falls on January 1st) at home with her family. She preferred being at home rather than going wild like the rest of her Bollywood gang on the New Year’s Eve.
The actress who turned 32-years old this year went for an early morning raga-based fusion concert and then, visited the Sai Baba temple close to her home to take his blessings for the New Year.
Vidya’s next will be ‘Kismat’ with Shahid Kapoor. Vidya dismisses the allegations that she looks more mature than Shahid on-screen saying that the audiences will find their pairing awesome. With the word going around about their off-screen connection, hope the new year brings some on-screen and off-screen successes for the lovely lady.
