While Amitabh Bachchan might say that he isn’t worthy of an autobiography, close family associates of the Bachchan parivaar suggest that Aishwarya is toying with the idea of writing a book on her Pa. A source close to the family told us about Ash’splans.“Aishwarya holds Bachchan sir in high esteem. She is completely floored by the way he talks, behaves, conducts himself. In fact she has been integral part of Bachchan sir’s blogs as well. She keeps track of them and gives her feed back on a regular basis.
So the other day when someone suggested a biography of Mr. Bachchan, Aishwarya felt she would love to write it. And Bachchan sir himself would be very open and forthcoming if it was Ash who was penning it,” says the source.While it is still early days and with the Bachchan family being busy with the Unforgettable Tour, Aishwarya won’t have trouble finding any inspiration for the book.“He is just so eloquent. It’s a pleasure listening to him when he speaks. If I wasn’t married to Abhishek and I wasn’t a part of the family I’d still say the same thing. Over the years it’s truly such a pleasure listening to him speak at forums, launches, events and probably that’s why he is the most invited to write the forewords for most books, to be at the openings and inaugurations of the written work of so many people.”
“It’s just that there is just so much honesty. It’s not just flowery language when he speaks and writes so beautifully. It just comes from a place of honesty and truth and that to me is just very very special. Pa’s commitment is just so incredible. I don’t know how he manages to do all that he does in his day and still take out time to attend to his blog… it’s simply hats’ off,” gushes Ash.

We have learnt that Katrina Kaif is in the running for the role portrayed by Parveen Babi in Amar Akbar Anthony in the remake to be directed by David Dhawan. The film will also star the three Khan brothers - Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail- in the lead role.Katrina’s spokesperson tells us, “We are in talks with David. The role was offered to her but the shooting of the film will not happen so soon because first she will be completing the Partner 2 sequel. Currently she is busy shooting with Ranbir for a Rajkumar Santoshi film.”
If she agrees, this will be the second time after Main Pyaar Kyun Kiya that Salman and Katrina will romance each other on screen. Sohail Khan is producing it and it is likely to go on the floors early next year after Salman completes his film Veer with Anil Sharma. Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat asked her to return Rs.2.5 million
Mumbai, (IANS) Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat, currently riding on the crest of glory, has been delivered a piece of bad news by the industry’s oldest body of producers, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA).Not that it bothers her at all — but it definitely pierced her ballooning ego.Following a complaint by Studio 18 against her “starry tantrums”, IMPPA early this week asked her to return Rs.2.5 million the banner had paid her early this year as signing amount for a movie, tentatively titled “Masquerade”, according to industry sources.
Studio 18 had lodged the complaint because before the ink was dry on the agreement, the actress allegedly asked the production house to replace the movie’s director, Kundan Shah.
When Studio 18 refused to oblige, she demanded the cinematographer be replaced with one of her choice, Madhu Ambat, who demanded Rs.4 million for the assignment, said the sources.
The production banner turned down her demand, saying the choice of the cinematographer was always the director’s prerogative.
Not being able to have her way, Mallika Sherawat, as IANS had reported earlier, felt so affronted that she walked out of the movie, throwing the project topsy-turvy.
IMPPA has now ordered her to return the signing amount of Rs. 2.5 million within one month or else face the consequences, the sources said.
Mallika Sherawat was not available for a comment. Her business manager Vikram Lamba feigned ignorance about the IMPPA notice.
Sajjad Chunawala, of Studio 18, said the actress caused the production house a lot of damage. “We will not rest till she pays,” he remarked.
Is the movie shelved?
“No, we are re-working it,” Chunawala informed.

Actress Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar join together
Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali’s next project for Ashtavinayak Cinevision will feature Akshay Kumar. Imtiaz has a three-film contract with the production house.
It is learnt that Akshay has given his nod for the project. The story is described to be a mature romantic saga with a dose of wit and humour.
Although the script is not yet completed, Akki is going with the track record of Imtiaz post his suceess with Kareena-Shahid starrer Jab We Met.
The source adds, “Kareena Kapoor also has a three-film contract with Ashtavinayak.
Bebo is already doing their next, Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Returns — the sequel to the 2006 comic caper Golmaal. She will feature with Akshay in the Imtiaz Ali film as well.”
Ashtavinayak’s media spokesperson, however, states, “This project is ined up for next year. Akshay Kumar and Imtiaz Ali are definitely on board but we are still in talks with Kareena.
Considering their past working relationship, we are certain that she will give us the nod for this project, too.”
Meanwhile, Imtiaz is shooting in London with Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone for his next, produced by Saif. After London, the film will be shot in San Francisco, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkatta.
Adds the source, “This busy schedule will provide little time to Imtiaz to finish the Akki project. But Ashtavinayak is confident that Imtiaz will pull it off and complete the script of their film simultaneously.”
