The gorgeous Sen sisters are coming together
The gorgeous Sen sisters are coming together for a film for the first time in Rituparno Ghosh’s adaptation of Tagore’s novel Nauka Dubi and they will do some scenes together in the film because Raima Sen feels that the audience would definitely appreciate that.
“There’s no way the audience will accept me and my sister in the same movie without having scenes together. In the original story our characters don’t come together at all. But Riya and I have to come face to face in our first film together.”
Riya and Raima were supposed to come together earlier in Vicky Chopra’s Seasons Greetings. But that didn’t work out. It was an episodic film and they just had a small segment to work in.
Also, Raima who is to be credited for bringing this project together does not want her film to be dubbed in Hindi. She says, “I know how strange it sounds when my Bengali films are dubbed into Hindi. It happened with Anuranan and more recently with Khela. When Pradeep Sarkar went to see Khela he told me he had gone to see a Bengali film. He ended up watching a Hindi film. Rabindranath Tagore’s characters will look very strange talking in Hindi.”

Born on January 24, 1981 in Kolkata, West Bengal, Riya is the daughter of Moon Moon Sen, a former actress, and granddaughter of Suchitra Sen, a legend in Bengali cinema. Riya’s maternal great-grandfather Adinath Sen was a prominent Kolkata businessman, whose father Dinanath Sen was the Diwan or a Minister of the Maharaja of Tripura. The sisters are credited on-screen under their grandmother’s maiden name, although their official papers carry the surname Dev Varma.

Bollywood Actress Riya Sen To Add Sensational to IPL website
There is no denying the ‘Sen’sation of the sensational Sen sister, Riya Sen. That being true, glamourous Riya Sen has aptly been chosen as the Brand Ambassador for Indian Premier League’s (IPL) official website www.iplt20.com. As the brand ambassador for the site, Riya has to attend at least 5 IPL matches, she has to get into conversation with the players and post her reviews on the site. As for the team she supports, Riya, in her true Kolkatan spirit, openly displays her loyalty and support for SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders.
Talking about it, Riya says, “I was present as a guest in the IPL’s inaugural match. And I know all of the organizers of IPL very well, including Lalit Modi. It was our mutual love for cricket that got us together. As a Brand Ambassador of the website, I am supposed to attend at least 5 matches, but I am planning to attend much more than 12 matches, subject to I am not working (shooting) at that time.”
