Asin is all set to make a big mark in Bollywood by starring opposite Aamir Khan in the most awaited movie of the year Ghajini.
However Asin knows her place and is aware that Aamir is going to hog all the attention, she says, “I obviously know that Aamir will outshine me. The film is about Sanjay Singhania; Aamir is the central part… I am just glad that I have a small role in this big project.”
When quizzed about playing a small role, she says, “How can that even be an issue? Aamir Khan is such a fabulous actor, that anyone would give an arm and a leg to share the frame with him. I shouldn’t and don’t have ego hassles, and instead am thanking my stars that I got to be part of such a project.”
Well it’s good that she is well aware of Aamir’s charm at the box-office before the release of the flick.

Aamir Khan novel idea of ‘Ghajini’

Aamir Khan has done it again. Known to be the trendsetter and a perfectionist in that too, Aamir has devised a never before heard method to promote ‘Ghajini’. Aamir has been blogging for quite sometime now, and this time he has made a website on the film’s name aimed to create a better relationship between him and the journalists on the personal level.
A journalist who wishes to be part of this website, www.rememberghajini.com/media,
can register in it and also should upload his or her photograph so that when Aamir meets this media person next time, he will be able to recall the professional and personal details of the person. Upon registration the journalist will also get an information kit of ‘Ghajini’ alongwith a personal note written by Aamir in his profile.
This idea of the website is based on the peculiar habit of his character in ‘Ghajini’ who writes down the details of the people because of having a short term memory.
It goes like this.

Kollywood beauty Queen Asin is set to storm Hindi

Kollywood beauty Queen Asin is set to storm Hindi films with Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan after conquering Telugu and Tamil cinema. Ask her if she is set to become next big Bollywood’s diva from the South, and the actress giggles in embarrassment, “I’m a long way from getting anywhere near Hema, Rekha and Sridevi. But I feel hugely welcome in Mumbai. I don’t know why filmmakers are showing so much interest in me.” Asin (pronounced Ah-sin) she explains her name: “Asin is coined from Sanskrit and English. It means ‘sinless’... like ‘Amala’… without blemish. I hope I live up to my name in Mumbai.”
For now, Mumbai is her home. “But only because my immediate commitments are in Mumbai,” she clarifies. “I’m the brand ambassador for six multi-national companies and the ads need to be shot in Mumbai. Now there are Hindi films too. ”Fortunately, Asin speaks Hindi without that Southern twang that is even now so pronounced in Hema. “I’ve never used a dubbing artiste for any of my films, not even for the Hindi ads, and I’m speaking in my own voice in my first Hindi film Ghajini,” she claims. “In these days of globalisation, I don’t think language is a barrier. I’m interested in films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and any other language as long as the projects are exciting.”
She’s aware her shift to Mumbai has given rise to rumours that she’s giving up on South Indian cinema. “That’s untrue,” says Asin defensively. “Whatever I’m today is because of Tamil and Telegu cinema. Why am I expected to choose between Mumbai and the South?”

Aamir Khan caught everyone's attention with his blog

After Aamir Khan caught everyone's attention with his blog entry on Shahrukh, his dog; Shah Rukh Khan, the actor reacted to the dog-blog controversy. And here's what he had to say.
"Moving towards blogs is a way towards joining the journalist fraternity, I love journalists but I am an actor and would like to keep it that way."
Shah Rukh Khan said he chooses not to blog in reaction to Aamir Khan's recent blog entry that talks about a Shah Rukh licking his feet. This is what Aamir wrote in his blog: "Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?"
While Aamir goes on to confirm that he's not referring to the King Khan but a dog named Shahrukh that belongs to the caretakers of his Panchgani home, there were other references.
Read between the lines: "Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh's to want to do that."
But it seems like the King Khan is taking it all in his stride.
He said, "Hum log hum umar hai — main, Salman, Aamir. Aur hum jab milte hain toh is se bhi ajeeb batein karte hai. (All three of us — Salman, Aamir and me are the same age and when we meet, we talk stranger stuff than this.) I have to take it with a sense of humour and I do have a sense of humour. If i can do it with others, then I should accept it."
Well, that's the last word on the dog-blog controversy for now.

Actor Aamir Khan had injured his hamstring muscle again

Aamir Khan has always been known for his perfection and dedication to work. But too much of anything is bad and this one sure proved it. Last week, Aamir had injured his hamstring muscle while shooting an action sequence for his film ‘Ghajini’. Although. Aamir was advised rest for a couple of days, the actor, concerned about the film insisted director A.R.Murgadoss to shoot some close up sequences which would not strain his injury much.
But the idea proved to be disastrous one since Aamir injured his hamstring further and had to be hospitalized. Quotes an eye witness, “He was chasing the bad guy, he stepped in a wrong position and his hamstring muscle got torn. After the shot was ‘Okayed’ for almost 40 minutes, Aamir was unable to stand up. Initially, everyone on the sets thought that Aamir was pulling a fast one, but only when he started screaming in pain, everyone got moving.”
The physiotherapist on the sets could not handle the situation and a specialist had to be called in. He was taken to a local hospital. He has been advised three weeks of complete bed rest and will be coming to Mumbai as soon as his doctors allow him to travel. Meanwhile, the shooting has been cancelled.
A. R. Murgadoss, the director of the film says, “It happened on the day we were shooting some crucial sequences with Aamir. Although he had supported his leg, he got into an awkward position while shooting and he seriously injured himself again. Shooting can hold. We all right now are worried about his well being”.

Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan’s New Hair Style for Ghajini

There is a popular saying in Bollywood that ‘Whatever Aamir Perfectionist’ Khan does, he does not follow any style, because whatever he does, simply becomes a style in itself’.
The latest one being that he has gone bald for his forthcoming film Ghajini, with the southern sensation Asin and the Bollywood hottie Jia Khan paired opposite him.
Aamir going bald had become the talk of the town for quite some time now. And the ‘day’ decided was his Birthday, which eventually got postponed. And the person instrumental in this was the renowned celebrity hair stylist Avan Contractor, and the location was Aamir’s residence in Bandra. It looks quite ironical that it was the same Aamir who had gone full fledged with his locks in Mangal Pandey and now it is the same Aamir who has gone bald, though the common factor remains that both of these ‘hairstyles’ were not an overnight decision. Aamir had spent lots of time working out on these looks. So, please do not be surprised if you suddenly find the young men going bald. Because you know that the reason is not the summer, or the dandruff and definitely not the lice, but it called the refreshing ‘Aamir slice’!

Bollywood’s talented actor and director Aamir Khan does not believe in awards and never accepts

It is known to all that Bollywood’s talented actor and director Aamir Khan does not believe in awards and never accepts the other than the national and other prestigious awards. But this time, he is ready to accept the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial foundation award given to him for his masterpiece, Taare Zameen Par.
The Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial foundation was formed in the late 1998 by a well known Telugu writer Gollapudi Maruthi Rao in the memory of his late son Srinivasa, who died in an accident while making a film. The foundation is known for honoring those brilliant people who masters in the field of direction. Taare Zameen Par has been selected among the 19 nominations.
Aamir was the choice of the jury members Kamal Hassan and director Singitam Srinivasa including others. He will fly to Chennai on August 12 to receive the award and to honor their choice. TZP has proved his capability of directing films. For TZP, he has received many accolades all over the country. Filmfare awards also honored him with the best direction award but as usual he stayed away from it. The producer of the film accepted it on his behalf. It’s been a long year that he stopped accepting it as he believes that a good work is always a masterpiece and it does not require awards to prove its excellence.

Aamir Khan's next release for GHAJINI

Aamir Khan's next release, after the blockbuster triumph of his directorial debut venture, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, will be the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster, GHAJINI. As is known, Aamir is returning to full fledged action after a long duration. And if our memory serves us right, it was for Vikram Bhatt's GHULAM, way back in 1998.
Ever since the time of it's announcement, there has been a lot of curiosity regarding the Hindi title of the GHAJINI remake, which is still without an official one. But as usual, here is the latest on the subject. GHAJINI is going to be called just that in Hindi also! This means that there will be no renaming of the project, as per the current information.
While on the title, the obvious question that comes to mind is what exactly GHAJINI means in Hindi? Well, there is no such word as GHAJINI in the Hindi dictionary. Actually there is no word as GHAJINI in Tamil too!
However, knowing Aamir Khan we will not be surprised if just before the release of the film, he will make public his / makers justification for the strange title, and believe us, the reason given will be concrete!
