After Dasavathaaram, Kamal will direct the film Marmayogi. He will also be the hero of the film. This title has been taken from an old MGR movie. Adlabs will produce this new film.
It is also said that Kajol will act as Kamal’s heroine in this film. Now it is known that Hemamalini is acting in an important role in this film.
To recall about Hemamalini’s film career, it is important to note that she first tried to enter the Tamil Film industry. But she was rejected saying she would not suit heroine’s role. Following this she knocked the doors of the Hindi film industry which gave her recognition and she went on to act with top stars of her time including Amithabh Bachan.
She married Hindi actor Dharmendra and settled in Bollywood. Now her daughter Isha Deol is an actor. Isha Deol has acted in the film Ayudha Ezhuthu opposite Surya.
Hemamalini was firm not to enter Tamil film industry, as it had rejected her. But following the request of Kamal she acted in the film Hey Ram a few years back. Now Kamal has approached her to act in an important role in his film Marmayogi.
