Deepika Padukone, the hottest and most happening actress in bollywood lead the India Day parade as grand marshal at the 28th India Day Parade in New York, to celebrate India’s 61st Independence Day on the 17th of August.
Deepika Padukone and Chief guest Dr Vijay Mallya led the parade. The India Day parade has showcased India’s culture on Manhattan’s Madison Avenue since 1981. The parade attracts around 50,000 people — the biggest event outside India.
Last year, Actress Priyanka Chopra lead the parade( photos here) and Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams was the Guest of Honor.
